Counselling, Supervision, Therapeutic Arts,
for adults, families and children
Sarah (SJ) Bolton-Locke
Welcome, I am a qualified Counsellor and Supervisor, therapeutically supporting adults, families, and children's mental health and wellbeing in Gloucestershire.
A Space 2 Be is a private practice in Cheltenham, and is based at Essential Space in the heart of Cheltenham town centre. I also offer both organisation and off-site visits.
I aim to provide a safe and welcoming environment to either seek support in counselling, supervision and reflective practice, mindfulness, therapeutic training, and mental health support. Additionally, I have further training and experience in working with GSRD therapy clients of diverse genders, sexualities, identities, relationships, lifestyles & practices, offering non-judgemental, and affirming support to everyone.
In present times, I am supporting people to manage their stress and anxiety, coping with the effects of the global pandemic, Covid 19, and am seeing people both face to face and in online sessions.
I am a co-director for Creative Change Makers, which is a community interest business, offering therapeutic and practical support and mental health courses, and a co-director for Essential Space Counselling Community which offers discounted counselling to adults in Gloucestershire.

What people say
Amanda, School Support
Sarah brings calm energy that has made the children feel very relaxed, she has really supported a family through a traumatic time and helped the children come to terms with the changes
I have been working with Sarah for just under a year, she has supported me to take steps that I didn't think were possible, my confidence has really grown in this time
Tim, LGBTQ Counselling
I needed someone to talk to that wouldn't judge me. Sarah gave me a space to express how I fell about my gender and this has helped me make sense of my feelings and just be me
