Getting Support

I offer warm, creative, accepting, therapy for young people, adults and families looking for support.

I work with a range of issues including stress, anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, identity & gender topics, sexuality & diversity, relationship & family difficulties, loss and bereavement and anything else that may be unsettling you.

As a therapist my aim is to always provide therapy that suits you, working with you to understand what is important and to explore what is coming up to the surface at this point in your life.  We all need to take some time to repair and heal ourselves, and whilst it may feel scary, reaching out for help can also bring us strength.

I will really listen to you, support you to gain insight and clarity and help you to find what you need. My approach is influenced by person-centred and integrative counselling skills, solution-focused and creative arts; essentially, I am influenced by you, we work at your pace and in a way that is right for you.

Where I work from

My therapy room is at Essential Space, Knapp Road. It is in Cheltenham town centre and has off-street parking, and is close to the rear entrance of Waitrose car park. If you would prefer, I also offer online or telephone sessions, and will hold sessions for young people at their school during school hours if preferred.

Anything else you should know?

I have experience of working with adults and young people, I offer a supportive and trusting relationship, and a safe space for people to explore their emotions and work through their problems, this is often whilst using a creative method to help you relax and to not feel any pressure.

Alongside the 1-1 sessions, I also provide bespoke support and advice to families who are experiencing difficulties. This includes advise or signposting and partaking in any multi-professional meetings if required.  I have always offered inclusive and diverse support with no judgement, and in 2017 I committed to training with Gendered Intelligence to offer specialised gender and identity support in Gloucestershire for the transgender community.

I have been supporting people for 25 years, during this time I have worked with different modalities and have qualifications in health & social care, counselling skills, creative arts, family mentoring, mental health, sound therapy & mindfulness.  These all give me an extensive range of health & wellbeing interventions that support improving resilience, self-esteem & confidence, building trust & personal development.  I have had various roles in my career, ranging from being a healthcare assistant in a brain injury unit to managing a wellbeing centre and working with hidden victims of crime, and I hold an enhanced DBS.
